      FORMAT

      • 1. Each team is guaranteed three games.
      • 2. Rosters are limited to 18 players and three (3) coaches. Only three (3) roster changes are permitted to the final roster submitted at a team’s State Games qualifying location. No roster changes will be permitted once a team submits their final roster at the mandatory coaches meeting.
      • 3. Players can play on only one team.
      • 4. Tournament format will consist of pool play with top teams advancing to a medal round.
      • 5. Tournament Director reserves the right to change the format from pool play based on the number of teams in a division.
      • 6. Game Lengths: 10 & Under – 6 minute quarters; 12 & Under – 7 minute quarters; 14 & Under – 8 minute quarters; 16 & Under and 18 & Under – 8 minute quarters. All games will be regulation time.
      • 7. The designated home team is responsible for keeping the official game scorebook. The designated visitor team is responsible for operating the game clock. Every effort will be made to provide scorekeepers and clock operators at each facility, however teams should be prepared to provide table personnel.

      REGISTRATION

      • 1. It is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm their registration by visiting www.SoutheastSportsFestival.org or calling the SESF Registration Coordinator, the Florida Sports Foundation at (866) 354-2637.
      • 2. An official team roster is available in this information and should not be mailed in prior to the tournament. Teams must submit an official team roster and a Waiver of Liability for each player at the mandatory coaches meeting.

      SPORT RULES

      • 1. National High School Federation basketball rules apply unless specified within.
      • 2. Age cut-off for all divisions is September 1, 2009.
      • 3. For 10U and 12U divisions, overtime periods will be three (3) minutes with regulation clock. For 14U, 16U and 18U, overtime periods will be four (4) minutes with regulation clock.
      • 4. Each team will have three (3) full time-outs (60 seconds) and two (2) 30-second time-outs per game. In overtime, each team has one (1) full time-out. Time-outs not used in regulation will not carry over to overtime.
      • 5. Half-time will be five (5) minutes long.
      • 6. The regulation 3-Point Rule will be in effect.
      • 7. Games time is forfeit time.
      • 8. A player will be disqualified from the game following his/her fifth personal foul. Technical fouls will be included in the personal foul total.
      • 9. The bonus foul shot will be awarded on the seventh foul of each half. After 10 fouls, teams will move into a double bonus situation.
      • 10. Tie breaker information: 1st Head to Head competition; 2nd The team that allows the fewest points in games between common opponents; 3rd Play-off game between the two teams in accordance with overtime rules.
      • 11. There will be no dunking allowed before the game. This will result in a technical foul if observed by the game officials. Some facilities do not allow dunking during games and this rule must be observed and will be enforced.
      • 12. Uniform jerseys must have numbers on at leas one side, preferably both sides. Uniformity on the court will be enforced. Each team player must wear the same color shirts, shorts and socks. Failure to do so will result in a technical foul for the first offense and forfeiture of the game for future offenses.
      • 13. Teams should bring reversible jerseys or two different colored jerseys.
